現代生活には機械はなくてはならない物だけど、翻訳とは著者の心・考えを伝えること。やっぱり人間じゃないとできないものだと私はつくづく思います。

I found out through an article on Yomiuri newspaper that due to the terrible translation in Einstein's biography, the books have been taken back and an edited version will be released. What's funny is that apparently the poorly translated book's prices have shot up to 10 times the original price and sold at 20,000yen! It's presumed that the translation was done by a computer's auto translation. For example, the phrase "Max Born's wife, Hedwig ". Max is a name of a physicist but was confused for the word "maximize" and was translated "maximize Born's wife, Hedwig"!
In our modern lives we need machines but translation is to convey the writer's heart and thoughts. I strongly feel that translation is something only people can do.
